CEJA elects new President

6th July 2017: the CEJA General Assembly met in Brussels to elect a new President and four new Vice-Presidents for the mandate 2017-2019. Jannes Maes, former Vice-President of the organisation and diary farmer from Belgium, was designated to guide CEJA for the next two years. He said he is happy and honored for the responsibility, declaring he will work together with a strong team to strengthen the voice of young farmers in the relevant fora. The new President, succeeding to Alan Jagoe, grew up on a Flemish farm in Aalter. He attended secondary agricultural education, later obtaining a Bachelor’s Degree in agriculture.

The four Vice-Presidents, also elected on that day, are: Iris Bouwers from the Netherlands, Christoph Daun from Germany, Tomáš Ignác Fénix from Czech Republic and Seán Finan from Ireland. According to the outgoing President Jagoe, the fact that a former member of his team has been designated to guide the organisation is crucial. This way, he can continue the work he have already contributed to, giving continuity to a process started two years ago.

WFO congratulates new President and Vice-Presidents, wishing them a fruitful and successful mandate.
