Today is the United Nations Day. It celebrates the entry into force of the Charter of the United Nations and it is celebrated since 1948. This day is usually dedicated to meeting, discussions and exhibits on goals and achievement of the Organisation.
In 1971, the UN General Assembly, through its Resolution 2782 recommended that the UN Day “should be observed as a public holiday by all States Members of the United Nations”.
