As last year, a delegation of 15 young farmers has been invited by the German Ministry of Food and Agriculture to attend the Global Forum on Food and Agriculture (GFFA), that will take place in Berlin from January 17th until 19th, 2019.
This year’s theme will be “Agriculture Goes Digital – Smart Solutions for Future Farming”. The role of the young farmers will be to address the rural youth perspective into the discussion.
The GFFA is the world’s leading international conference on key issues regarding the future of the global agri-food industry. The meeting has taken place in the framework of the International Green Week (IGW) in Berlin on an annual basis since 2009. Over 2,000 international visitors from the industry, science, civil society and politics attend the numerous public events of GFFA each year.
The political highlight is the Agriculture Ministers’ Conference attended by around 70 Ministers of agriculture from all over the world.
One representative of the young farmers' delegation will address the Conference presenting an official statement from the young farmers in front of the Ministries' audience.
More information and updates will be circulated as soon as possible.
