On January 13th the WFO Communications Officer, Valeria Di Marzo, joined the annual Farming First Steering Committee Meeting in Paris. The meeting was the occasion to discuss future communications activities to promote the critical contribution that agriculture can make to related global issues such as food security, climate change, and biodiversity.
Participants in the meeting also included representatives from CropLife International, International Fertilizers Association, World Federation of Engineering Organisations, International Science Council and Marchmont Communications.
Farming First is a multi-stakeholder coalition, with a supporter base that now represents the full spectrum of the agricultural value chain – from farmers, scientists, industry, youth, rural financiers and information providers and development practitioners. It aims to showcase farmers’ important role within broader sustainable
development globally.
Farming First has joined The Climakers Alliance as Media Partner since January 2019.
