2025 WFO General Assembly

2025 WFO General Assembly—Internal Affairs Session

On 5 and 6 June 2025, the General Assembly of the World Farmers’ Organisation (WFO) will convene virtually for its annual Internal Affairs Session.

The General Assembly is the highest decision-making body of the Organisation. It meets once a year, gathering representatives from across the WFO membership to review progress, set priorities and shape the future of the Organisation.

This year’s agenda features a number of key items, including the elections for the Vice President, the Board Members representing the Latin America and the Caribbean, North America, and Oceania constituencies, and the Board of Auditors.

In addition to discussing and deliberating on internal organisational matters, the WFO Members will be called to vote on the adoption of two new critical policy documents on Food Loss and Waste and Digitalisation and Artificial Intelligence, both addressing challenges central to the future of farming worldwide.

The outcomes of this annual gathering—including newly elected representatives and adopted policies—will play a pivotal role in guiding the Organisation’s advocacy efforts and political positioning in the year ahead, reinforcing WFO’s commitment to placing farmers at the centre of global decision-making on agriculture and food systems.

Updates on key outcomes and decisions will be shared in the weeks following the session.
