The 53rd Plenary Session of the Committee on World Food Security (CFS53) will take place from 20 to 24 October 2025 at the headquarters of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) in Rome. Every year, the event brings together governments, civil society, the private sector, and international organisations to address pressing global food security and nutrition challenges.

Key agenda items include the presentation of the 2025 State of Food Security and Nutrition (SOFI) report, a high-level forum on responsible investment and financing for food security and nutrition, and the endorsement of new policy recommendations on strengthening urban and peri-urban food systems.

The World Farmers’ Organisation (WFO) will be present to reaffirm its commitment to farmers’ rights and global food security, advocating for their essential role in achieving food security and nutrition worldwide.
