77th Session of the FAO Committee on Commodity Problems (CCP 77)

The 77th Session of the FAO Committee on Commodity Problems (CCP 77) will take place from 13 to 15 July 2026 at FAO Headquarters in Rome, Italy, in hybrid mode.

The Session will review recent trends in global agricultural commodity and fertiliser markets, assess market outlooks, including medium-term projections, and discuss the theme of FAO’s flagship report “The State of Agricultural Commodity Markets (SOCO) 2026: Trade, Resilience and Food Security”.

On the margins of CCP 77, the FAO Markets and Trade Division will host the side event “Implications of the Disruptions in the Strait of Hormuz and Fertiliser Markets: Short- and Medium-Term Solutions for Resilience” on Monday, 13 July 2026, from 11:45 to 13:00 CEST.

The World Farmers’ Organisation Secretary General, Andrea Porro, will contribute to the discussion by bringing farmers’ perspectives on how disruptions in the Strait of Hormuz and related fertiliser market pressures affect production decisions, input use, and farm-level resilience. WATCH HERE
