WFO will join Climate Week in New York City, organised by the Climate Group.

Climate Week NYC 2025

From 21 to 28 September 2025, the World Farmers’ Organisation (WFO) will join Climate Week in New York City, organised by the Climate Group. The event is the world’s largest annual climate gathering, bringing together leaders from business, government, civil society, and international organisations to accelerate climate action across more than 900 events.

During the week, WFO President Arnold Puech d’Alissac and Secretary General Andrea Porro will participate in high-level meetings, panel discussions, and roundtables, highlighting the central role of farmers as solution providers in tackling climate, biodiversity, and food security challenges, and in driving the transformation towards more inclusive, resilient, and sustainable food systems.

WFO will also be an Institutional Partner of the World Climate & Biodiversity Summit – NY 2025 (WCS & WBS NY 2025), hosted by the World Climate Foundation, and held on 25 September on the sidelines of Climate Week. Rooted in the principles of the Rio Conventions – UNFCCC, UNCBD, and UNCCD, the Summit will connect the climate and nature agendas across policy, finance, and business, and help prepare the ground for UNFCCC COP30 and beyond.

WFO’s presence in New York reaffirms the organisation’s mission to ensure that farmers are recognised as essential partners in addressing global challenges at the nexus of food security, climate change, and sustainable development, while calling for inclusive approaches that secure the future of agriculture.
