World Food Forum Flagship Event 2025
The 2025 flagship event of the World Food Forum (WFF) will take place from 10 to 17 October at the Headquarters of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) in Rome, Italy, marking a significant milestone—FAO’s 80th anniversary.
Convened under the overall theme “Hand in Hand for Better Foods and a Better Future”, the event underscores the four organising principles of FAO: better production, better nutrition, a better environment, and a better life.
Organised around three central pillars—Global Youth Action, Science and Innovation Forum, and the Hand-in-Hand Initiative Investment Forum—the WFF serves as a dynamic platform to share knowledge and forge inclusive partnerships that drive sustainable food systems. The programme includes high-level dialogues, consultations, innovation labs, interactive pitching events, and more.
The week will also feature additional high-profile events, including the annual World Food Day and the First FAO Global Exhibition: From Seeds to Foods, as well as the 2025 edition of the Rome Water Dialogue.
A delegation from the World Farmers’ Organisation (WFO) will participate in the 2025 WFF flagship event, including Diane Sibanda, President of the WFO Member Botswana Farmers Association (BOFA), Valary Otieno, Rafael Riedel, WFO Gymnasium Alumnus from the Confederação da Agricultura e Pecuária do Brasil (CNA Brazil) and Tamisha Lee, President of WFO Member Jamaica Network of Rural Women Producers (JNRWP). They will bring the global farmers’ perspective to key discussions on food systems.
