In the run-up to COP 26 that will take place this year from October 31 until November 12 in Glasgow, WFO, within “The Climakers” initiative, is collecting best practices worldwide on how the farmers’ community is coping up with climate change.

Farmers have unique practical expertise, a combination of formal education, traditional knowledge, and experience from living and working on the land and with nature.
Farmers are already experimenting with practical solutions to climate change with their existing resources, and these experiences need to be highlighted.

That is why, since 2019, the Climakers have been collecting inputs from farmers on how climate change affects agriculture worldwide and the best practices farmers are implementing to adapt to it and/or mitigate its effects.

The stories collected this year will feed into the upcoming publication “Stories from the Field – Volume II”. (Please check the previous versions here https://www.theclimakers.org/stories-from-the-field/).

Are you a farmer? Tell us more about your experience and what you need and expect! We want the voice of the farmers to be heard loud and clear at COP 26 and beyond, and we need your contribution to be equipped with practical evidence on the weight of the farmers’ work as a solution in the struggle to adapt and mitigate the effects of a changing climate.

The survey and the case study collection are available in English, French, Spanish and are OPEN until 15 September!
