LUISS Master in Food Law: WFO Scholarship Awarded for 2025/2026
For the eighth consecutive year, the World Farmers’ Organisation (WFO) has partnered with LUISS University in Rome to offer young graduate farmers within its global membership access to advanced education in Food Law.
Following a competitive selection process, Jedidah Wambui Nderitu, from the Kenya National Farmers’ Federation (KENAFF), has been awarded the scholarship to attend the 2025/2026 edition of the Master of Law (LL.M.) in Food Law.
Jedidah currently serves as a Board Member of the Regional Coalition for Farmers Markets (RECOF) and acts as Vendor Coordinator at Farmers Market Nairobi, a flagship initiative under RECOF and the Mediterranean and African Markets Initiative (MAMi). In her role, she supports farmers’ access to markets and contributes to fair trade, sustainable agriculture, and inclusive local food systems, with a particular focus on women and young farmers.
Over the years, several young professionals from the WFO network have benefited from this opportunity. Previous scholarship recipients include Karen Makena Kaumbuthu, Mark Kiprono and Betty M. Njuki from Kenya; Josiane Irakarama and Cryspin Kayitare from Rwanda; Kajol Bajracharya from Nepal; and Kouassi Kouadio Hervé from Côte d’Ivoire.
This initiative demonstrates WFO’s ongoing commitment to capacity building and leadership development as a strategic pillar of its global advocacy work.
