WFO Opens Its Door to 2025 TOP Kurs Students
On February 13, the WFO International Secretariat welcomed a delegation of young farmers from across Germany to its premises in Rome. The young guests are participating in the 2025 TOP Kurs programme, an initiative facilitated by the WFO partner Andreas Hermes Akademie (AHA).
During this meeting, WFO Secretary General Dr Andrea Porro and WFO Youth Liaison and Initiatives Manager Giulia De Castro provided the young farmers with an immersive experience of the mission, strategy, and actions of WFO. The presentation focused on WFO initiatives for youth empowerment, such as the Gymnasium Capacity-Building Programme and the WFO Young platform.
This visit followed an earlier engagement between the same group and WFO President Arnold Puech d’Alissac in January in Berlin during the International Green Week.
WFO recognises the importance of capacity-building and is committed to partnering with institutions like AHA to foster forward-thinking dialogue and knowledge exchange, empowering younger generations to shape inclusive, resilient, and sustainable food systems.
