Members Driving Policy Development
WFO operates on the basis of an authentic bottom-up approach, where member organisations lead the policy process from start to finish. To implement this model, the Organisation has established a series of Working Groups, Committees, and ad-hoc Task Forces, created to advance specific priority areas defined by the General Assembly.
These structures ensure that the voices of farmers from all regions are represented and heard. Each group is composed of one facilitator and twelve nominated members – with two representatives per regional constituency: Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean, North America, and Oceania.
Through this inclusive and representative format, WFO guarantees that its policy development process remains democratic, regionally balanced, and truly member-led.
