From 8 to 11 June 2026, Nairobi will convene world farmers and their organisations for WFO’s Annual Meeting

Rome, Italy, February 2, 2026 –The 2026 Annual Meeting of the World Farmers’ Organisation (WFO) will take place in Nairobi, Kenya, from 8 to 11 June 2026. It will be organised in collaboration with WFO’s host member organisation, the Kenya National Farmers’ Federation (KENAFF).

The WFO Annual Meeting brings together leaders of farmers’ organisations and agricultural cooperatives from all regions of the world, alongside a diverse range of global stakeholders, including policymakers, multilateral institutions, academics, scientists, private-sector associations, civil society, and financial institutions.

More than a conference, the WFO Annual Meeting is a global, farmer-led platform for dialogue, collaboration, and action, where farmers engage directly with partners to discuss priorities, share perspectives, and contribute to shaping a sustainable, resilient, and inclusive agri-food sector.

The 2026 edition will take place under the theme Future Fields: Investing in Farmers’ Organisations and Empowering Communities for Sustainable Agriculture, reflecting a shared vision of agriculture as a space of opportunity in which farmers and their organisations play a leading role.

High-level plenary discussions and thematic sessions will focus on strengthening farmers’ organisations, unlocking investments, fostering innovation, and advancing digital infrastructures as key enablers of resilient and future-oriented agriculture.

Cross-cutting priorities will include social security for farming communities, fair and sustainable land tenure and land use, food security as a central consideration, and empowering youth and women as essential actors in global food systems.

A dedicated website for the 2026 WFO Annual Meeting is already online and serves as the main hub for programme information, registration, and practical arrangements. The website will be updated on a rolling basis as preparations advance.
