The 2019 UN Climate Change Conference (UNFCCC COP25) that will take place in Madrid from December 2nd to 13th is around the corner and the World Farmers’ Organisation (WFO) and its representatives from around the world are on the way to Madrid to ensure the farmers’ voice is heard louder and clearer in the climate change debate, by taking part in several high-level meetings, workshops and international discussions.

IDENTIFYING INVESTMENTS INTO CSA THAT MOVE THE NEEDLE – AND WORK FOR FARMERS

The event will provide a platform for the launch of the Climate Smart Agriculture Investment Plan (CSAIP) Series. It will demonstrate how CSAIPs identify investments that will work for farmers – while at the same time contributing to countries’ NDC targets and other commitments. The discussion will feed into the submissions to the UNFCCC’s Koronivia Joint Work Programme on Agriculture (KJWA) under the concluding topic: Socioeconomic and food security dimensions of climate change in the agricultural sector.
