WFO Gymnasium Alumnus Kemei Mark Kiprono from the Kenyan Farmers Organisation KENAFF successfully passed the selection procedure and won the scholarship to attend the 2023/2024 edition of the Master of Law (LL.M.) in Food Law at the LUISS University in Rome.
Last Autumn, WFO announced for the 6th year in a row the opportunity to access one scholarship for young graduate farmers interested in enhancing their Food Law education, offered in collaboration with LUISS University.
WFO recognises and promotes the importance of education and professional growth and development of young farmers and, within the partnership with the LUISS University in Rome, provides them with new learning opportunities, such as offering one exemption from the payment of the tuition fee for the LL.M. in Food Law.
Before Mark, Josiane Irakarama from Rwanda, Kajol Bajracharya from Nepal, Betty M. Njuki from Kenya, Cryspin Kayitare from Rwanda, and Kouassi Kouadio Hervé from Cote d’Ivoire benefitted from the possibility of enhancing their education in Food Law.
Kemei Mark Kiprono is an active member of Kapkures Youth and Women Self Help Group in Nakuru county, Kenya, a group of youths and women engaging in diverse farming activities. As a member of this group, Mark sensitizes them on best practices in farming, their legal rights, and modern ways to prevent post-harvest losses and value-addition strategies, among others
