UAN – Unión Agrícola Nacional, WFO Member Organisation from Paraguay, with support of the Confederación de Organizaciones de Productores Familiares del Mercosur Ampliado (COPROFAM), held the workshop “Asociativismo y Cooperativismo”, featuring the participation of 32 family farmers leaders, including women and youth. The workshop, that took place in Lambaré, part of the Gran Asunción metropolitan area, from May 9th to 11th, was aimed at qualifying interested participants in running a new agricultural cooperative as well as enhancing the capability of the existing cooperatives in developing business and having access to public policy instruments.
All the topics were discussed from different viewpoints, social, economic, organizational, legal, etc., thus covering all the aspects that are the basis of the management of such undertakings. Read more
